Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UnionPay, UCB, PayPal, Afterpay and Zip Pay. To set up a lay‑by, please contact our team.

Do you offer finance or lay‑by options?

Yes, we offer lay-by and finance options. Full details are available here. To arrange a lay-by, please contact our team, or use Afterpay or Zip Pay directly at checkout.

Can I pay the delivery driver on the day of delivery?

No, all orders must be paid in full before your order is picked and loaded into the truck. If you need assistance in paying the balance of your order, please contact our team.

Delivery

What areas do you deliver to?

We deliver far and wide across Australia. Our delivery areas include VIC, NSW, SE QLD, SE SA, ACT & Perth*.

What is the cost of delivery?

If you reside in one of our delivery zones, we offer a flat rate of only $59 per order — no matter the number of items.

How long until I receive my order?

We offer guaranteed 2 week delivery* to all of our delivery areas, excluding Perth, WA.

Do I have to take delivery within 2 weeks?

Still waiting for that new build? No worries! We can keep goods in our warehouse for a maximum of 8 weeks after you have placed an order. If your order was made online please include the holding period in the order notes or contact us.

How do I track my delivery / will I receive a delivery window?

Our team will notify you of a date when your delivery is scheduled. Due to the volume of deliveries, we cannot provide exact times, but our drivers will call around 1 hour before arrival so you can be ready to receive your order.

Can I request a specific time for delivery?

Unfortunately, due to our large quantity of deliveries it is really difficult to specify an exact time. Circumstances such as traffic, time spent at previous deliveries and other issues outside of the driver’s control can substantially alter the anticipated time of delivery. We do however offer a service where our drivers will call 1 hour prior to delivery. In most cases this gives the customer the opportunity to get home and meet the driver.

Do you bring furniture inside and assemble it?

Our deliveres are a drop off service only. Meaning your goods will be placed in a safe place around your home. Drivers will not bring goods into the home.

Can I pick up from your warehouse/showroom instead of having delivery?

Yes, you can absolutely pick up your order from our warehouse instead of having it delivered. Just select “Pick Up” at checkout. Orders are usually ready within 24 hours and can be collected at an arranged time.

Warranty

What is the standard warranty that comes with new furniture?

All items (excluding selected mattresses) come with a standard 12 month warranty, for any issues, please submit a Customer Care claim here

What happens if parts are missing, or the item is damaged in transit?

If your order arrives with missing parts or damage, please fill out a Customer Care Claim or contact our customer service team for assistance. We’ll work quickly to resolve the issue for you.

Do you sell gift cards or vouchers?

Yes, we sell McPhails Furniture Gift Cards! Available for purchase online here.

How long are the lead times if a product is out of stock?

Lead times depend on the product. Most out of stock items with confirmed restock dates are listed as pre-order, with the estimated wait time displayed on the product page. Contact our customer service team for assistance with a particular product.

Do any of your products have a weight rating?

Our furniture is designed for safe use by individuals up to 120kg. 

Do you customise any furniture?

All furniture items are not customisable however, we do have an upholstered range of bed heads & bases that can be customised on colour.

What is the difference between leather and leather air?

The main difference between leather and leather air is that leather is made from cowhide whereas leather air is a synthetic material. Think of it almost as a suede.

I can't find certain details about a product

Returns & Cancellations

Can I cancel my order?

McPhail's Furniture will charge a 20% cancellation fee for all orders that are cancelled by the customer. This fee will cover associated administration costs and any loss incurred from holding stocks against a customers account (eg. loss of potential sales).

I've recieved my item but I've changed my mind

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds based on change of mind.

My new items don't fit into my home

Unfortunately, given the nature of bulky goods we cannot offer a refund or cancellation simply because of change of mind or the item not fitting. The item becomes ‘second hand’ once in your home and cannot be re-sold in the same way, even if in your home of a matter of days. Dimensions are always readily available for you so you must measure if you are concerned about items fitting correctly.
