Delivery Policy

Our delivery policy outlines important conditions and instructions relating to all things delivery.

Delivery Fee and Area:
McPhail's Furniture offers a standardised flat-rate drop off only delivery fee of $59 to customers residing in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, South East South Australia (including Adelaide), and South East Queensland (including Brisbane) & now Perth, WA. Our delivery charges are applied per order and not per individual item.


Delivery Options:
Our online store provides fixed-rate delivery for all items within our delivery
radius. Alternatively, customers have the option to collect their purchased
items for free from our Wangaratta Warehouse. To arrange pickup, kindly contact our head office at 03 5721 6058 before your visit, allowing us to prepare your items accordingly.


Delivery Schedule:
Deliveries are typically scheduled between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm on weekdays, with occasional weekend deliveries in peak periods. However these hours are subject to change. Our courier will contact you the evening before your scheduled delivery via call or text to confirm the delivery timeframe and ensure someone will be available at the delivery location.

Our delivery time estimates are provided by our experienced team based on current conditions and planning. While we strive to offer accurate delivery windows, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic delays or issues at delivery locations can occasionally impact our schedule. We understand the value of your time and are committed to providing the most accurate delivery estimates possible.



Delivery Date:

The specific delivery date is determined by your delivery zone, and we will contact you within 48 hours of your purchase to provide this information. If the date is inconvenient, please contact McPhail's Furniture to request a more suitable date, and we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.



Delivery Changes:
Delivery dates may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you of the new delivery date via SMS, email, or phone communication.



Delivery Timeline:
Whilst most online purchases are shipped within 10 business days, some may take longer. You will receive confirmation of the exact delivery run via SMS, phone call, or email. Please allow up to 30 business days for all deliveries.
Deliveries to postcodes outside of our regular delivery routes may take longer then expected. 



Delivery Location:
Goods will be delivered solely to the front door of the nominated address. For apartment or unit block deliveries, items will be delivered only to the ground floor foyer. The driver may provide additional assistance based on accessibility and safety considerations.


Assistance with Bulkier Items:
Our deliveries are one-man deliveries, and you may need to assist the driver with lifting bulkier items, such as lounge suites, as necessary.



Recipient Presence:
It is essential that someone is present at the delivery address to receive the order, as our couriers provide a door-to-door delivery service. In the event that you are not home on the scheduled delivery day, your items will be left unattended, and we will send you photo proof of delivery. If you cannot be available to accept the delivery, please contact us to arrange a safe location
for your goods.



PO Box Deliveries:

Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO boxes. Kindly provide a physical address for delivery when placing your order.



Redelivery Fees:
In the event that you are not at home, and there is no secure location to leave the goods, you will be charged a re-delivery fee of $150. This fee covers the cost of rescheduling and making an additional delivery attempt.



Delivery Outside Specified Zone:
For deliveries outside the specified zone area (1,000 kilometres of Wangaratta, Victoria), please contact our store to inquire about availability for certain online items in interstate metropolitan areas.



Important Information:

Before placing an order, we recommend reviewing our Return, Repairs, and Refunds Policy, which requires reporting any defective goods within 7 days of receipt. Additionally, familiarise yourself with our Terms and Conditions of Sale when making an online purchase: Terms and Conditions



Delivery Holding Periods:
If you are unable to accept delivery immediately, McPhails offers a complimentary holding period of up to 8 weeks from the date of purchase. The delivery process will proceed as follows:

Our logistics team will contact you within 48 hours of your purchase.

You will be provided with a scheduled delivery date within the allocated 8-week timeframe.

If you are unable to accept delivery on the scheduled date, please notify us with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.



Shipping Insurance:
Our shipping costs include full insurance coverage for products lost or damaged during transit.



Out-of-Stock Products:

If a product is out of stock, delivery will be delayed until the item becomes available.



Cancellation Policy:
McPhail's Furniture reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 20% for any item/s and/or Order/s cancelled by the customer. This fee covers associated administration costs and loss of potential sale of the item/s to another customer whilst the stock was on hold for the original customer.

If the customer cancels their order/s or any item/s within 48 hours of the Orders' scheduled delivery date, McPhails reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of $150. This fee covers costs associated with administration, extra handling and re warehousing of the already picked and loaded product/s.
